Where graffiti was once considered as the enemy of public transport, whereby graffiti was equivalent to pollution and the public transport to service and order, are the roles now reversed. It is currently the metro itself which creates chaos and inconvenience and graffiti the desired organization and serves as a pleasant distraction. The once illegally spray painting Hugo Kaagman, ‘The Dutch Godfather of Stencil Graffiti’, has in commission of the city of Amsterdam applied his fantastic mix of graffiti and delft blue this time to a sound-hall of the North|South Line.
