Just as not all art on the street is street art, not all street / urban art necessarily takes place in public space. It’s above all an attitude, a state of mind. This also shows the last month opened exhibition Silence is a lie in the Berlin SEZ. An Urban Art Exhibition that occupies over 2,000 m2 of this historic, from the DDR-era dating Sport-und Erholungszentrum. Inspired by the Russian poet Yevgeny Yevtushenko, is here a connection drawn between the utopian and revolutionary spirit and the subversive element Urban Art. The work of over a hundred artists, a spontaneous collective, will be on display in the coming months, alongside a program of workshops, music and other activities. The Silence is a lie exhibition runs until September 30th, 2012. Open Fri – Sun from 15h – 19h.
In this group exhibition I myself am also represented with the continuous BLOOD project, a series of posters with this time the release of BERLIN BLOOD – NEW YORK BLOOD - SÃO PAULO BLOOD. (Click the above link for details).
