Design inspired by both the intriguing story of Aby Warburg – the German art historian who famously made a deal with his brother to forfeit his right to take over the family firm, in return for an undertaking on his brother’s part to provide him with all the books he ever needed – as well as the more than wonderful initiative Artists Not Armies. The Amsterdam-based, by Alexander Tempel initiated, company which may be best described as a fundraising brand. This brand / slogan – that might remind you of the by John Lennon used ‘Make Love Not War’, which is not entirely coincidental considering that the ex-Beatle was originally trained as an artist as well – reappears among others as this must have shopping bag / instant protest sign. Order it before it’s too late!
